# Connect an MCP Client to Salesforce

Salesforce hosts **Platform MCP servers** — like `sobject-all` — that let an MCP client query records and metadata from your org. This page connects **any** MCP client: Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Postman, or your own.

One **External Client App** authenticates every client. The scopes and PKCE security are identical for all of them — the only per-client difference is the OAuth **callback URL**, which gets added per client below.
